Tom Bodell is the managing director of AMTECH International and a minority partner of Amtech USA L.L.C. As managing director, Bodell directs the overall development and growth of business relationships between automotive and industrial suppliers and Japanese OEMs.
Prior to joining AMTECH in 2001 as director of sales, Bodell worked on Japanese strategy at Robert Bosch Corporation as a sales engineer. Prior to this, Bodell was general manager at Ventra Group, Inc., a Canadian automotive supplier of mechanical assemblies and plastic trim components, where he established an Asian sales office to serve Asian-based automotive OEMs.
After graduating from college, Bodell joined as an account representative at Freudenberg-NOK, a manufacturer of anti-vibration, powertrain, and chassis products for the automotive, commercial vehicle, and industrial markets, where he helped grow the company’s business with Auto Alliance International and Mitsubishi Motors Corp. by 250%.
Bodell holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Michigan State University, where he also earned a varsity spot on the football team. Additionally, he is a member of the Japan America Council. He is fluent in Japanese.
